The pictures tell the story of the last three weeks, incredibly pleasant weather, water temperature around 25 Deg C, excellent snorkeling and diving, with a fish (getting choosy now – only grouper or snapper !) dinner just minutes away. The flounder was in a metre of water just in front of Sonrisa early one morning, I managed to spear it from the kayak. We have managed to stay locally around Loreto, the last two weeks at Island Coranados some 6 miles north of Loreto. The town is really delightful with all supplies easily available and a good fishing, hardware and chandlery to boot !
The LoLo crew kindly looked after Ben and Huon while we went ashore for a romantic dinner to celebrate my 58th. With the calm weather we can dinghy ride into town, Sunday being the local fresh produce market so Mel and Rosanna take care of the supplies. The volcanic hill behind the anchorage provides great leg exercise, while I made it a walk, both Mel and Rosanna have been running it early in the morning.
A tough decision when to move on from this idyllic anchorage.
