A pleasant few hours North of San Carlos is the open Bahia of San Pedro, deserted and hot with barren red hills surrounding the bay – ideal for Sonrisa to chill out for a week or so. My diving was worthwhile with some small snapper, grouper and a crayfish. While the boys and I were ashore a fishing panga circled Sonrisa which always makes me a bit uneasy, not sure why as always nothing to worry about – this time was similar, for a cup of cooking oil the fishermen traded 6 lobster tails!
A wonderful 10 days in Bahia San Pedro some 15 miles North of San Carlos – no other yachts, water temp around 32 deg Celcius . Now back in San Carlos to check out our friends new baby boy Ethan, buy a few provisions and then head South West to Baja California for a look around.
