Yesterday it rained, the first time in 11 months and we left the hatches open, always a risky business! We went looking for a house / unit to rent for the last part of October, early November as Sonrisa will be hauled out in Guaymas (a treat for mum as life ashore on a yacht can be hard work, particularly in a dusty shipyard with two boys to keep occupied) so I can antifoul, fix the leaky saildrive seal and drop the rudders to find what is going on with the loose bearings.
Getting around in the rain was different from the oppressive heat, but we were quickly successful with a neat 2 bedroom house, and view, near the centre (?) of San Carlos, at $170 per week we thought it good value. Clara kindly drove us around, as she is expecting to drop here bundle early next week, a very kind gesture.
Tomorrow we head off into the unknown, well at least a bit of a cruise up the coast for a week, even if my watermaker repair fails we can survive and the replacement parts are now in Germany so perhaps they will show up at the end of next week.
